For Free Using This Little Known, Underused Platform Feature.
Imagine if you owned a crystal ball that reveals tomorrow’s winning trends, niches, and sub-niches before the crowd ever catches on? So instead of chasing what’s already saturated, you’d be spotting fresh opportunities while they’re still under the radar. The kind of insights that let you position yourself early, dominate before competition shows up, and ride the wave as it breaks.
That’s exactly what this post is about: uncovering profitable trends before they explode so you’re the one leading, not following, and so you’re the one who gets the results and makes the money.
Are You Missing Trends?
I’ve been a digital marketer for many years – full time for over a decade, and in that decade I’ve seen a lot of things come and go. I’ve been fortunate enough to make a great deal of money from some trends. But I’ve completely missed a lot more. Have you ever just sat there raking your brain wondering…
What niche should I even focus on?
I have. I think most of us have, because getting in early means riding the wave for the duration, instead of paddling into it, or against it. Hitting a trend early however, before it spikes can be the difference between making a lot of money, and making a few dollars, or nothing at all.
How To Spot Trends Today, For Free.
If I said I discovered this all by myself, I’d be lying. Truth is I read a post, had an idea, and looked some more, and this is what I found.
Pinterest Trends. Start by typing Pinterest Trends into Google, and then click the link.

Pinterest trends will look like this (or it does on my device here in the UK).

What Is Pinterest Trends?
Pinterest Trends is a free to use Pinterest feature which not many people really know exists, unless of course they use Pinterest a lot. I read somewhere that Pinterest Trends is a hidden feature, I’m not sure about that, but access isn’t obvious, and it isn’t shouted about.
Pinterest Trends is actually very useful as a trends crystal ball because… Not only does it show what people are actively searching for currently by the day, the week, or the season.
But it predicts what’s about to take off in the coming weeks and months.
How? Well I guess it would be due to a Pinterest algorithm based on Pinterest users planning ahead. I really don’t have all of the answers, but apparently trends tend to show up here before they ever hit TikTok or Instagram.
How To Use Pinterest Trends – Instructions
First go to Pinterest Trends – https://trends.pinterest.com/ (or Google It)
Next? Well there are a number of options for discovering trends.
Here’s a quick video tutorial I made and uploaded to YouTube (I’d appreciate your likes and comments).
If you didn’t see the video here are a few options – You could look through the top trends using the carousel – see image below. See the spike in ‘Reaction Pictures’?

Top Search – Type in a broad keyword into the search bar at the top – I just popped in ‘Reaction Pictures’ and here’s the result.

Add in suggested ‘Related Terms’ to compare, see volume, demographics etc.

Another search option is using the filters on the left hand side.

How I Turn The Trends You Find Into Money.
Content with ad revenue (blogging etc) – Got adsense or something similar on your blog? Then create content specific to the trend, better still create content with the help of AI.
Why Blogging and Content – If you’re hitting a trend at the ground floor there isn’t likely to be a lot of competition… Think about it.
You could also use Amazon for products and earn as an amazon affiliate, or create little digital products, maybe create PLR based on these trends. My point here isn’t to tell you what to do, or to sell you anything… The point here is to open your eyes to some largely hidden potential.
All I ask is – Please comment and let me know your thoughts.
Thanks for reading.
Nice one Mark! Thanks.
Thanks Peter.
Hey Mark, Great content and I’m so glad that I found and read your article. Now instead of using Pinterest to look at some of the latest products, I intend on using the Trends to actually start making some money.
Thank you for your feedback Tracy. I’m glad you found this post useful.
